The conference on the streets and roads of the future
FROM 29 JUNE TO 1 JULY
Electric-Road, which has always been ahead of its time, is proposing a Business & Seminar version for its 7th edition by organising an exhibition and a real conference which will become the annual meeting for work, observation and assessment of the current situation: a formidable tool for forecasting and learning available to manufacturers, territories and politicians.
"Les Assises des Rues et des Routes du futur, Innovations, Métiers, Énergies, Infrastructures" : a series of "State of the Art" conferences, workshops and seminars.
In order to allow professional visitors to discover all the components of this transformation, we will be hosting all the professions in the transport transition sector within the exhibition: electric vehicles, but also buses, trucks, charging stations, equipment manufacturers and services.
All the players in all areas of mobility, infrastructure and energy will be represented.
Interview with Carlos TAVARES CEO of STELLANTIS
« Electric-Road Business & Seminar must have a political scope »
THE CHALLENGE OF ELIMINATING COMBUSTION ENGINES BY 2035 MAY SEEM LIKE A UTOPIA TO SOME.
YOU YOURSELF HAVE STATED THAT YOU WILL BE FOCUSING SOLELY ON ELECTRIC PROPULSION FROM 2024. DO YOU THINK YOU WILL SUCCEED AND HOW?
Interview on 23 September 2021 between Mr Carlos Tavares, CEO of Stellantis and Jean-Patrick Teyssaire, President of Electric-Road:
"You are obviously asking me the right question. No, it is not a utopia, but it has consequences that are not sufficiently explained to our fellow citizens: social, economic, freedom of movement.
I have taken all the necessary steps to achieve this transition.
Stellantis, through its 14 brands, already offers more than 20 electrified models and others are being developed. We are developing an electric electronic architecture and 4 common platforms totally dedicated to the electric vehicle, the Stella platforms: one small, one medium, one larger and one dedicated to SUVs and pick-ups.
Stellantis will spend 30 billion euros over the next 5 years on the electrification budget alone. This is an extremely important part of our resources. We might as well tell you that we shouldn't be told in ten years' time that it wasn't the right solution…
We are taking numerous steps to build a vertical integration, on the electric motor, on the electrified automatic transmission boxes, on the battery packs but also on the manufacture of battery cells since we have created a dedicated company: ACC (Automotive Cells Company) of which you know the industrial footprint, a factory in France, one in Germany, and soon a factory in Italy. (Editor's note: Stellantis and Total Energies announced on 24 September that Daimler is joining ACC to make it a leading player in terms of size and technology)."
